Chartered in 1986, The Erie Sports Hall of Fame has served as home to nearly 400 talented athletes and coaches from the Erie Metro area.

Joe Sholtis

Shellie was a three-sport athlete at Iroquois in football, basketball and baseball. He also played football one season at Edinboro. His biggest sports contribution is in the coaching realm at Harbor Creek High School. He became the softball coach in 1976, two years after the program began. In the 36 seasons since then, his record is 602-178 for a .7761 winning percentage. His teams have won 13 Erie County League championships, one Region championship and 13 District 1 0 championships.…
